C*-algebras, the main objects of Cristian’s research, are mathematical concepts essential for their use as models for the algebra of physical observables in quantum mechanics. An active area of research in his field is studying the structure of C*-algebras. To a large extent, this has been achieved by the work on the classification of nuclear C*-algebras, explicitly identifying a C*-algebra via a small set of characteristics known as the invariant. We associate an invariant to an algebra, and if two algebras have the same or isomorphic invariants, the algebras are algebraically identical or isomorphic. | C*-algebras, operator algebras, functional analysis
