Randi’s focus is on building engaging activities for students that reflect the discipline of biology and ecology. She continually work towards having students practice lab and life skills and do meaningful work in biology that models what is expected of post graduate employees in any field including communication, group work and critical thinking. Her first priority is that students feel respected in the classroom, second is to have fun with the material (both her and her students) and third is build towards big assignments through earlier, small assignments and appropriate resources.
