Sheena Rossiter

Rossiter’s research and teaching are deeply rooted in experiential learning, and she aims to incorporate work-integrated learning into her courses as much as she can. Her research is primarily focused on creative practice with an emphasis on documentary filmmaking and podcast creation, and this is reflected in her classroom activities. With her work as a documentary filmmaker, she seeks to highlight underrepresented stories and issues. Sheena is committed to making work that informs, enlightens and educates the general public. She encourages her students to do the same. Through her teaching, Rossiter seeks to mentor, motivate and inspire the next generation of journalists, professional communicators and media production professionals with hands-on learning. With the majority of her classes making use of Allard Hall's multi-million dollar TV studio spaces, she encourages students to grow, create and experiment with audio and video.
